New Zealand – A masterpiece of Nature

The pristine island of New Zealand is the home to diverse natural beauty such as mountain peaks covered by clouds, dense native forests, beaches, glaciers, thermal regions and fiords which have been carefully preserved and maintained by the government.

This country of rugged islands is home to the traditional Maori culture with the modern cosmopolitan cities. This heavenly island nation, charming villages and vast expanses of untouched wilderness has got something stored in for everyone.

Milford Sound, the most famous tourist attraction in New Zealand, lies in northern and most accessible end of Fiordland National Park. The Fiordland National Park is considered to be one of the largest national park in the world.  Milford sound brings to you some of the world’s most astounding coastal scenery along with dramatic peaks and dark blue waters. The beauty of South Island is enhanced during the frequent downpours sending a number of waterfalls cascading down the rugged cliffs.

The picturesque, Bay of Islands, is one of the top favorite holiday destination in New Zealand. This area holds 144 islands including sandy beaches and secluded bays. This gorgeous bay has been abundantly blessed with marine life including dolphins, whales, penguins, etc.

Rotorua is one of the world’s largest areas of geothermal activity famous for its volcanic activities. It is also known as the thermal wonderland of New Zealand. For anybody who is interested in having a close contact of the Maori culture, this city is a must visit for them. Eruptions of geysers, hot springs, boiling mud are occasionally witnessed in this area. Close to this location is Wai-O-Tapu which is also a popular travel attraction spot with numerous hot springs.

Kaikoura, the seaside town which overlooks the majestic snow-capped mountain, lies on the east coast of New Zealand’s South Island. This town offers the tourists with rich habitat of marine mammals and seabirds. Many water activities like fishing and shark diving is carried out here. It is a haven for seafood lovers. The local delicacies include feast of fresh crayfish, mussels and many more. If you are not a water baby then Kaikoura can take you for walk through the wilderness of the untamed Kaikoura forests.

One of the world’s oldest National Parks, Tongariro National Park, has extreme surprises stored in for you. The park offers you a diverse range of ecosystems including three active volcanoes, tranquil lakes, desert-like plateaus and herb fields. Start your three hour hike from Whakapapa Visitor Center to the stunning Taranaki Fallsto witness the gorgeous view of forest and scrubland across the hundred year old lava line of volcanic eruptions.

The other tourist attraction spots include Franz Josef Glacier, Abel Tasman National Park, Coromandel Peninsula, Mt. Cook National Park, Queensland and many more.
