The entire country of Australia, right from the islands to the mainland, across the desert to the coral reefs, the picturesque countryside to the urban parts, has something to offer for everyone. This magnificent continent of Australia is the home to world famous natural wonders, beautiful beaches and unique wildlife. Cairns, the gorgeous tropical paradise, is situated in far North Queensland. In fact Cairns boosts two of the world’s marvelous and unique natural wonders which are the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. The Great Barrier Reef, the largest coral reef in the world, home to 400 different types of corals and a plethora strikingly colored marine creatures. A number of islands are scattered around the reef where resorts have been developed. The Reef is a treat for divers, snorkelers and even those who simply want to gaze through the glass bottoms floored and relish its grandeur and beauty. On the other hand, the 135 million years old tropical rainforest of Daintree has been listed as world heritage site. It is the dwelling for almost 430 species of birds which are nestled on the branches of the trees.

Sydney tops the chart of most favorite travel destinations of Australia, attracting millions of tourists from across the globe, every year. It is the largest and most populous city in Australia. The iconic structure of the Opera House is the biggest tourist attraction with its unique designs and excellent acoustics. The Opera house combined with the iron bulk of Sydney Harbour Bridge, gives you one of the greatest vistas of the world. In fact Sydney is the city for both culture and fun. The pristine beaches along the ocean and the beautiful sunset are a treat for the eyes of the tourists.

 Kakadu National Park, which lies to the north of Katherine, is the brightest jewel in the crown of Australian wilderness.  Stretching for over 200 km south from the coast and 100 km from east to west, Kakadu National park boosts a rich wild life and native plants and the ancient Aboriginal culture and paintings. Almost 500 Aborigines dwell here.

Tasmania is a likely the best destination for anyone who wants to take a break from fast and demanding urban life. One can visit Tasmania for its rich history and culture, mountains, spectacular beaches and lagoons. Tourists can indulge in activities like hiking, camping, scenic drives , etc. Tasmania is well known for its beautiful wildlife.

Some of the other places worth visiting in Australia are, Fraser Island, considered to be world’s largest sand island, Kangaroo Island, where you can be close to wallabies, goannas, koalas, kangaroos,and Uluru, the largest monolith rock in the world.
